Alliance Foods is currently the sole franchisee for the KFC brand in Eswatini under a franchise agreement with KFC (Pty) Limited (“KFC”). KFC is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands Inc., a listed company on the Nasdaq Stock Market in the USA. Yum! is one of the world’s largest restaurant companies and the KFC brand has grown to be the world’s most popular chicken restaurant chain around the world. KFC is truly a global Mega Brand. KFC aims to be Relevant, Easy and Distinctive. The brand has been investing in innovation technology and enhanced restaurant formats. KFC is a leader in the industry’s contribution to the professionalism of management, innovation with cutting edge process of preparing food effectively and efficiently. Alliance Foods has ambitions to own and operate KFC’s not only in Eswatini but also across the SADC region.
General Africa Foods
General Africa Foods (Pty) Limited ("GAFE") is a holding company owning assets in both Eswatini and South Africa. These assets include 2 butcheries which cater to the low-to-middle LSM group, trading as ESDI, via General Africa Foods (Pty) Limited and ten (10) AfriPack Lifestyle Stores and one (1) Afripack Pet Store via Afri Pack (Pty) Limited and Afri Pack General SA (Pty) Limited.
General Africa Foods (Pty) Limited t/a ESDI – ESDI is a homegrown standalone butchery, offering high quality protein at affordable prices with a specific target of catering and serving the mass market or base of the LSM pyramid (Low to middle income). The store offering includes a wide variety of fresh and frozen meat products (including similar meat offerings to mainstream supermarkets as well as a wide variety of traditional offerings) alongside the sale of essential grocery items. The core value proposition of the brand is quality, convenience, value and affordability.
Afri Pack (Pty) Limited and Afri Pack General SA (Pty) Ltd, collectively referred to as Afri Pack, owns and operates ten (10) general merchandise stores offering quality products at affordable prices under the AfriPack Lifestyle brand.
